SLS AMG® Electric Drive Fastest EV in the World

The SLS AMG® Electric Drive has been crowned the fastest EV thanks to its lap time around the Nuremburg Ring.

First a little background information on the SLS Electric Drive. It is an all-electric vehicle powered by 4 electric motors, which sit over each wheel of the vehicle. This setup allows the vehicle to have 4 wheel drive, which is the only way to control 737 lb-ft of torque. The 0-60 time would be under 4 seconds. This eco-friendly supercar produces the equivalent of 751hp. The only thing you’re missing compared to its big brother the SLS AMG® GT is the roar of that V8. But you can always play something over the bang and olufsen surround sound system!

The SLS Electric Drive lapped the Nürburgring at a surprising 7 minutes and 56 seconds. This is officially the fastest time for an electric vehicle production car. To put that time in perspective it is only 16 seconds slower that the SLS AMG® GT, which is considerably lighter.
European Model Shown, this vehicle is rumored not to be available in the US.
